Matt Kohel represents clients in commercial litigation, intellectual property matters, and with data privacy issues. Clients in an array of industries rely on Matt to protect their interests in courts across the United States and in arbitrations on matters involving allegations of breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, partnership and shareholder disputes, fraud, as well as in employment and franchise litigations. His experience with intellectual property matters includes claims for the misappropriation of trade secrets, trademark infringement, false advertising, the sale of counterfeit goods, and cases involving a variety of patent issues, such as inventorship disputes and claim construction.
In addition, Matt counsels companies that develop and use artificial intelligence (AI) on AI governance and strategy, intellectual property, data privacy, and regulatory and compliance issues. He writes regularly and is a frequent speaker and panelist on AI, especially as related to intellectual property, data privacy, and corporate policies on the use and management of AI in the workplace. Also, Matt is IAPP CIPM certified and he assists clients with privacy program development and management, and the preparation of privacy notices.
Relying on his nearly two decades of experience as a litigator, Matt drafts and negotiates agreements and licenses for businesses, with a focus on protecting intellectual property and proprietary technologies.
Matt brings value to clients from his experience handling cases in which he has overseen large e-discovery collections, reviews and productions that include millions of documents, and his negotiation of extensive orders and stipulations relating to electronically stored information.

Alexander (Sandy) R. Bilus assists clients who are facing complex commercial litigation or who need legal advice on issues involving cybersecurity and data privacy, particularly in the higher education and financial services industries. Sandy's litigation experience includes arguing cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and assisting with cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. His cybersecurity and data privacy experience includes responding to potential data breaches and providing advice on compliance with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Sandy's work for institutions of higher education includes providing advice and conducting internal investigations connected to their compliance concerns, as well as responding to private lawsuits and government enforcement activity.
