Lawyers and legal departments in the corporate realm are often perceived as a source of negativity, wrought with constant refusals that bring creative flow to a screeching halt. As legal counsel, identifying and assessing our clients’ liabilities is vital to our profession, but this advice can lead to tension. So, how can in-house counsel navigate being a “department of yes” without compromising risk management?
