If it has not arrived already, nuclear power is coming to your doorstep. Globally, expanding consumer bases have exponential power needs, and nuclear power is a possible solution. This session will discuss the state of play for new advanced nuclear reactors, small modular reactors, and the restart of larger nuclear power plants in the United States. We will survey what nuclear power is, how it can be used, and the legal considerations for owners and operators.

The session sets the stage for a practical, experience-driven discussion on insurance claims recovery, with a focus on the natural resources sector. We’ll explore how companies can leverage proactive preparation, technical expertise, and disciplined claims advocacy to deliver stronger outcomes when losses occur. The presentation highlights real‑world best practices across property and liability claims, emphasizing preparation before the loss as much as execution after it. It also underscores the value of close collaboration between clients, brokers and dedicated claims leadership when navigating complex, high‑stakes events.
