While many initiatives are well-designed, they often fall short due to challenges in adoption, alignment, and process execution. This session introduces the concept of the pre-mortem—a forward-looking exercise that assumes failure in advance to identify risks early and proactively address them.

Through real-world Legal Ops examples, including outside counsel management, billing workflows, and cross-functional coordination, we will walk through how this approach can help teams anticipate breakdowns, strengthen planning, and drive more consistent outcomes.
