Senior Technology Counsel

HCA Healthcare, Inc.

With 10 years of experience as an in-house counsel, I have developed a passion and expertise for emerging technology, intellectual property, and media laws. I’m comfortable operating in highly regulated (or as yet unregulated) spaces.

I enjoy creatively delivering legal services, providing collaborative and practical solutions to challenges, and educating and empowering stakeholders to make informed decisions.

As a Senior Technology Counsel at HCA Healthcare, I support corporate technology initiatives and ensure they are consistent with HCA's technology legal practice and policy. I provide counsel and strategy leadership on topics such as intellectual property, artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, data privacy, security, and compliance, as well as brand, marketing, and advertising. I also draft and negotiate a high volume of technology contracts with vendors, customers, and service providers. I leverage my skills in asking the right questions, implementing agile project management, and staying updated on the latest industry trends and best practices.

I enjoy spending my free time exploring the Nashville food truck scene with my family.

Areas of expertise include intellectual property, generative AI, data privacy & security laws, product counsel and software development team support, technology transactions & technology licensing, media licensing, corporate governance, new media laws, commercial & vendor contracts, and the media & entertainment business.
