Michael W. O’Neill, General Counsel for Mainstream Engineering Corporation, will discuss his experiences as a patent examining attorney and patent administrative judge.  Mike’s has more than two decades of work in the IP field, including his experience as a patent judge, his years at the USPTO, and being in private practice at both IP boutiques, both national and international, and multinational general practice law firms.  Mike can advise on matters involving intellectual property strategies, practice, and procedure. He has assisted companies to: create and execute strategies for leveraging current United States’ IP law, and technology assessment and utilization; create new forms of business with IP to expand revenue and to leverage existing business in order to create new structures and joint ventures; and navigate and negotiate agreements relating to all manners of IP. Mike has worked closely with companies to design and implement IP asset management strategies and processes to capture technology and create value from IP.  He has been the “What’s Hot” leader for the IPN for the last two years.
