Please join us for a conversation addressing key compensation considerations, focusing on tax strategies and pay transparency requirements. This presentation will highlight key tax pitfalls to avoid in the design of incentive plans, employment agreements, and separation agreements, while also examining evolving pay transparency obligations. The discussion will cover opportunities to mitigate U.S. tax exposure in a variety of compensatory vehicles, including compliance with Code Sections 409A and 280G, while also examining upcoming obligations under the EU Pay Transparency Directive, highlighting how organizations can align compliance, governance, and equity objectives and identify opportunities to mitigate tax risk and exposure. Participants will learn how to identify potential compliance risk with payment timing terms, issues around equity grants and valuations and other opportunities to strengthen their compensation frameworks in a global context in light of emerging cross-border pay transparency requirements.
