He also recently rolled off the Board of Directors of BUILD NYC, a non-profit that provides over 400 inner city public high school students annually with experiential learning opportunities through a four-year entrepreneurship program and remains active in supporting its mission.

Jerome Weitzel is the co-managing partner of KWM. His practice is a unique blend of both trial and transactional representation. He has extensive experience litigating cases in state and federal court in the fields of employment, real estate, construction, manufacturing, telecom, professional liability and probate. He has argued numerous appeals before the First, Fifth, Seventh and Eleventh Federal Circuits. He represents businesses large and small as well as individuals, for whom he drafts and negotiates contracts related to employment and the purchase and sale of goods and services.
Jerome received the elite distinction of being named on the 2019 Top 100 Jury Verdicts in Illinois and then received the honor of being listed on the Super Lawyers list for three consecutive years.

Tom Dargan’s practice focuses on the representation of commercial clients in transportation law and complex civil litigation. He defends numerous corporate and commercial clients in state and federal courts involving commercial litigation and casualty defense litigation, including catastrophic trucking accidents, construction accidents, employment matters, products liability, dram shop actions, sexual molestation, asbestos/toxic tort and premises security. Tom is a member of the Lewis Johs Catastrophic Loss Response Team.
Tom represents self-insured trucking companies and transportation companies directly and through their insurance carriers. He advises commercial specialty units of several insurance carriers with respect to topics including first and third party claims, personal injury and negligent security claims, regulatory compliance issues, environmental concerns, long-haul trucking claims, cargo and product liability matters. He is experienced in assisting clients during the critical early hours of trucking accident investigations. He developed the Catastrophic Loss Response Manual for the benefit of the firm’s clients.
Tom has lectured to corporate clients and insurance organizations on a variety of topics, including transportation losses, employment law, crisis communications planning and investigation procedures for significant casualties. Additionally, he acts as regional counsel to an international insurer for the trucking industry as part of their catastrophic loss response team. Tom specializes in counseling the firm’s clients with respect to crisis management and communications strategies.
Tom was admitted to practice law in the State of New York in 1997 and the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York in 1998. He is an executive committee member of the Primerus Transportation Practice Group and he frequently speaks at the Primerus Transportation Law conference. He is a member of the Transportation Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute (“DRI”). He is a member of DRI’s Trucking Committee. Tom is active with the Three Village Chamber of Commerce. His articles have been published both in the Nassau Lawyer and Suffolk Lawyer publications.
In March 2013, Tom was named and featured in Long Island Pulse Magazine’s 2013 Top Legal Eagles List for his exceptional results and experience in the field of commercial litigation. Additionally, he has been annually selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers New York Metro Area from 2013 to present. Tom’s legal article entitled “School Bus Safety: What Can Our Schools Do To Protect Our Children?(opens in a new tab)” was published in the December 2014 volume of The Transportation Lawyer. The Transportation Lawyer is a monthly publication of the Transportation Lawyers Association.
In 1996, Tom Dargan received his Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University School of Law, where he served as the Research Editor of the Hofstra Labor Law Journal. In 1993, he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree, cum laude, in English Literature from Providence College.
