    Sheryl serves as the Legal Operations Senior Specialist at CenterPoint Energy. She established the Legal Operations division within the in-house Legal Department in 2021, focusing primarily on identifying process improvements and reducing expenditures.

    Sheryl joined CenterPoint Energy in 2018 as a Senior Executive Assistant to the General Counsel and Regulatory Leader, while also supporting the Board of Directors. She has cultivated a personal brand that encourages collaboration and guidance, making her a valuable resource not only within the Legal Department but across the entire company. This approach has fostered greater cohesiveness among various departments and team members.

    With over 40 years of experience in the corporate world, Sheryl's career began in 1984 at a credit union. She credits her background in banking as a significant platform that honed her ability to understand and connect with people. Sheryl takes pride in her exceptional people skills, which she considers her greatest asset.

    For more than 30 years, Mike has built teams and designed systems to continuously improve legal operational efficiency and value. He is a frequently referenced author and speaker firmly entrenched at the intersection of law practice, technological innovation, and business process expertise in legal service delivery. He has been serving as Head of Global Legal Operations for Expedia Group since 2020.

    Previously, he established and led legal operations and process excellence for the Ingersoll Rand (now known as Trane Technologies) Global Legal Department, advised the formation of visionary law company Clearspire, and spent nearly 15 years as Director, Strategic Legal Technology for Liberty Mutual Insurance’s Enterprise Legal Services team.

She specializes in streamlining legal processes through technology, with deep expertise in contract lifecycle management (CLM), e-billing, matter management, and reporting systems. Kellie works hands-on with tools like Coupa, Legal Tracker, DocuSign, Adobe Sign, and Lexion to drive efficiency and transparency across legal operations.

    Prior to Tandem, Kellie spent 15 years at Taylor Guitars, a world-renowned acoustic guitar manufacturer. There, she helped build the company’s first in-house legal team, combining her legal and international trade knowledge to support the import and export of highly regulated materials—including endangered exotic hardwoods—and trained customs authorities worldwide on identifying counterfeit Taylor guitars.

    With a background that includes roles as a Senior Corporate Paralegal, Licensed Customs Broker, and Certified Customs Specialist, Kellie brings a unique blend of legal, operational, and global trade expertise. Her cross-functional experience makes her a valuable voice in conversations around legal innovation and operational excellence.

    Tierra Brown serves as the Law Clerk for QinetiQ US, supporting the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel in various general legal matters. In this role, Tierra is responsible for conducting legal research and analysis, monitoring ethics compliance and regulatory issues, and revising internal and external communications and processes. Before joining QinetiQ, Tierra gained valuable experience in Intellectual Property Law working as patent prosecution support staff at a mid-size law firm in Washington, D.C.  Tierra holds a Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law, Class of 2025.

    Lucretia Pitts Barrett is a highly experienced General Counsel with a robust background in contract negotiation, litigation management, risk management, and regulatory compliance. With a career spanning over two decades, Lucretia has demonstrated exceptional leadership and legal acumen in government entities and private corporations.
    Lucretia is currently in transition and has recently been the General Counsel of Operations at Universal Property & Casualty Insurance Company. Lucretia has spearheaded defense litigation strategies and directed multiple internal committees to adapt inter-departmental processes in response to legislative changes in the homeowner insurance industry. Her efforts have streamlined operations for a legal team of over 425 members, managing more than 10,000 contract law cases.  She has drafted approximately 50 standard operating procedures, project managed technology productions to enhance operational proficiencies and reporting and conducted training and developed training resources for greater success in operation changes.
