The COVID-19 pandemic has tremendously accelerated and transformed the telehealth delivery model, and as a result, there has been significant expansion of state and federal telehealth policies. While some of the regulatory changes have been made permanent, other waivers have already been repealed with additional leniencies likely subsiding when the public health emergency ends.
