Alma Murray is Assistant General Counsel, Global Privacy and Data Security Programs at Lucid Motors. She is a leader with experience in building data protection programs and data strategies from the ground up across complex organizational structures. An automotive industry veteran, she has a background in privacy, cybersecurity, technology, consumer litigation, and commercial transactions. Prior to Lucid, Alma founded and led the privacy program and incident response framework for Hyundai Motor America and Genesis Motor America. She spearheaded the implementation of the Consumer Privacy Protection Principles: Privacy Principles for Vehicle Technologies and Services, state comprehensive privacy statutes including the CCPA, and the ISO 27701 Privacy Information Management System standard. She has experience in the privacy issues related to connected car/telematics, digital marketing, and indirect financing. Most recently, she has participated in Artificial Intelligence governance. Alma is a graduate of Scripps College and the University of Iowa College of Law. She holds CIPP/US and CIPT credentials from the International Association of Privacy Professionals and ISO 27701 certification from BSI.
