Managing Associate General Counsel

Freddie Mac

Will is the Managing Associate General Counsel for the General Corporate Department in Freddie Mac’s Legal Division. In this role, Will provides oversight and leadership for the provision of legal advice on a wide range of matters. General Corporate represents Freddie Mac in technology and other commercial transactions, data protection and licensing, privacy, information security, artificial intelligence/machine learning, and intellectual property acquisition, management and enforcement. The Department also provides advice on other general corporate matters, including Common Securitization Solutions (CSS), corporate insurance, and corporate real estate.

Before joining Freddie Mac in 2003, Will was an associate in the Washington, DC and Northern Virginia offices of Arnold & Porter where his practice included counseling public and private companies on intellectual property law and information technology contracts. 

Will received his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1997. He earned his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina in 1994. Will is admitted in North Carolina, the District of Columbia, and Virginia.
